Taylor Swift definitely showed her defensive side when she dissed Amy Poehler and Tina Fey in a not-so-subtle way in the April issue of Vanity Fair, but Poehler responded to the singer's comments in a way that leaves all of us smiling.

"There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help other women," the 'Begin Again' hitmaker said when asked about the comedians' jokes at the Golden Globes.

When Poehler caught wind that she'd offended Swift, she took a light, respectful approach, telling the Hollywood Reporter, "Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl."

The blonde, ridiculously funny comedian added with some humor, "That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

Thankfully, she put out that fire in a hurry -- and in a gracious, yet lighthearted manner. We have to applaud Poehler on her response; it looks like her years of experience in the entertainment industry have taught her that humor is often the best comeback!

Tina Fey told Entertainment Tonight that she was surprised that Swift was hurt by the comments. “I did not see [this] one coming," she said. "It was a joke. It was a lighthearted joke.”
