Did you watch the first auditions for American Idol last night? If you did, you may have become a fan of Kory Wheeler, a former barista who is now, "GOING TO HOLLYWOOD", to perform on American Idol.

Wheeler is one of the first golden-ticket winners for Season 14 of Fox's American Idol. Judges Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban, weren't nice to everyone. A pedicab driver was brought in and things didn't go very well.

USA Today reports that in addition to holding auditions in five major cities Idol producers also have accepted contestants through online auditions and a "silver ticket" promotion in which local Fox affiliates hold their own auditions and send the winners to sing for the judges.

On Sunday, the judges heard approximately 30 singers who survived the first two cuts in Nashville. They expected to hear about that many Monday.

Idol has struggled the last few years setting viewer lows throughout its 13th season, drawing just 10.5 million viewers for its May 21 finale. But the Fox Network is hopeful this season will be a come back season. I personally was drawn into the show last night when Jennifer Lopez danced with one of the contestants will he sang in her ear. The 20 year old contestant is also, "GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!"
