In space, no one can hear you scream, but you might hear the rest of the cast do it in Alien: Isolation.

This latest developer diary Creative Assembly provided for the creation of Alien: Isolation has given us some details in regard to the game's supporting cast along with its overall story. 15 years after Ellen Ripley and the Nostromo went missing in the events of the original Ridley Scott classic, 'Alien,' her daughter, Amanda, has been actively seeking to find out what happened to her mother. Amanda, now a Weyland-Yutani employee, finds out about the Nostromo's flight recording her mother made during the last few seconds of the original movie, resulting in Amanda's search.

While Amanda will be predominantly occupied with the alien, there will be other threats on this station to worry about (it's falling apart, famine is abundant and Weyland-Yutani is not welcome). Alien: Isolation is due for a Oct. 7 release for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
