I don't know about you, when I think of an Air Quality Alert I think of major metropolitan areas with a lot of smog, but we had two Air Quality Alerts over the weekend. Both were because of weather, high allergen content, and areas of smoke due to the multiple wildfires in the area.

Sunday's (September 23rd) was bad enough that the National Weather Service recommended the young, elderly, and those with breathing conditions should have remained inside and avoided strenuous activity.

The air quality in Southern Idaho is monitored by the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality. They have a pretty comprehensive site covering all facets of air and water quality.
