Just when Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' finally had us excited for its potential once more, now that Lady Sif (Jaimie Alexander) will soon come to town, the ABC series dropped two more major bombshells on us. Not only will Marvel character Deathlok come into play courtesy of someone we've already met, but 'Thor' villain Lorelei will battle with Lady Sif in an upcoming episode!

Perhaps most excitingly of all, undead cyborg Deathlok will in fact emerge from J. August Richards' super-strong Mike Peterson, whom we'd last seen surviving a major explosion at the cost of a leg and an eye, the eye replaced by the "eye spy" seen in an earlier episode. Some fans had correctly surmised that Peterson would turn out to be an incarnation of Deathlok, a persona in the comics that has been tailored to multiple different individuals. The 'Angel' alum's initial casting last year fueled speculation he might be playing Marvel strongman Luke Cage, or perhaps another superpowered individual.

According to footage shown to reporters, Deathlok will come into play as Bill Paxton joins the Agents for a four-episode run as comic S.H.I.E.L.D. operative John Garrett, who himself underwent cybernetic enhancements in the comics. Additionally, it was revealed that Jaimie Alexander's Sif will come to Earth in episode 15 hunting the Asgardian villain Lorelei, as portrayed by 'Smallville' alum Elena Satine.

We won't see the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' again until February 4 for the latest installment "T.R.A.C.K.S.," but in the meantime, what do you think? Have the 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' officially put a rest to our concerns, introducing both a major film player, and three exciting Marvel comic characters? Give us your thoughts in the comments, and stay tuned for more on Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'!
