I realize it's still summer but we got to talking about school on the show today.  I know I'm looking forward to getting back into the school routine but there's one thing that I hate about school:  The homework!  I thought I left it behind when I graduated but when you have kids, you get to relive it all over again.  Yippee.

While I'm happy to help my kids with their work,  as much as I can (Who can remember all that math, anyhow?) I sometimes find myself doing the assignment for them. And it's not an outright, blatant breaking of the rules.  It seems to start with a few pointers here and there, then maybe I take the paper and jot down some notes to help and before I know it, I'm filling in the blanks.    I know, I KNOW... I'm not helping them but after a long day at work the last thing I want to do is homework.  I just want to get it done and out of the way.

While I'm not making any excuses, I'm not alone... and some of you had some great tips for actually getting the homework done the right way.  Thanks for sharing!
