BOISE, Idaho (KTVB) -- The "Add the Words" movement will have a hearing at the Idaho Statehouse Monday morning. It will be a big day for those who have been pushing for employment and housing protection for people based on sexual orientation and gender identity. This weekend training was offered at the Democratic Party headquarters to people who wish to testify at the hearing. They learned about the legislative process and what they can expect if they approach the microphone.

The hearing starts at the Statehouse at 8 a.m. Monday in the Lincoln Auditorium. You can start signing up to testify for or against the words at 7:30 a.m. Only 300 people fit into the main auditorium but there will be overflow areas. This weekend the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce came out in support of "Add the Words" saying discrimination is bad for business. Former Idaho Gov. Phil Batt, who originally passed the Human Rights Act in 1960s, is also in favor of the bill.
