A Small Earthquake Just Shook Parts Of Idaho North Of Boise

It wasn't a large one, but there was an earthquake in Idaho today. The USGS is reporting that there was a 2.5 earthquake registered north of Boise near Cascade, Idaho.

As we unfortunately know, earthquakes aren't a foreign thing to Idaho. The somewhat odd thing about this one was the location. Major quakes have occurred in central Idaho with the 1983 Borah Peak quake being the largest.

No doubt a 2.5 is nothing to lose any sleep over. However, we pass these along since you never know if one of these smaller quakes is a precursor to a larger one to follow. With all of the volcanoes in our region with ample fault lines, who knows what's causing the shaking.

Anyone want to take any guesses how long it will be before someone connects this to the Yellowstone super-volcano?
