A 7 and 11-Year-Old Tried to Carjack an Oregon Woman
There are so many things wrong with this, I'm not sure where to begin. Two boys, ages 7 and 11 were picked up by police in Portland, Oregon after they allegedly tried to carjack a 22-year-old woman with a LOADED .22 handgun.
The woman was picking up her parents at a church when the boys approached the car, flashed the loaded gun and demanded she get out of the car and asked for her wallet and phone.
She drove away and call 911.
Police took the kids home to their parents but did not arrest them or cuff them because of their age. The children will be referred to juvenile court.
I don't care how old you are. If you pull a gun on someone, they should cuff you and throw you in the clink. And I'd love to know where the parents were on this one. What should the courts do - Slap them on the wrist because of their age? Or maybe the parents should be held accountable. What do you think?
