60 Plus Pit-Bulls Removed from Idaho Homicide Scene
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have removed and shipped more than 60 pit-bulls from the scene of a triple slaying in southeast Idaho's Oneida County. Most of the dogs were transported Monday to the Idaho Humane Society in Boise for treatment and potential placement in new homes.
Investigators believe the dogs were part of a dogfighting operation at a ranch outside of Holbrook. Last Friday, the bodies of 61-year-old Brent L. Christensen, 32-year-old Trent Jon Christensen and 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter were discovered at the property.
Authorities are still searching for suspects, and Sheriff Jeff Semrad believes the victims knew the killer or killers. Investigators also say a marijuana-growing operation was being run out of the rural ranch where the killings took place. Cash and 38 marijuana plants worth $95,000 were in the house.
