Webcams have come a long way as technology has improved. Years ago, webcams were nothing more than low-res things that were barely usable for basic online chats. Now, many locations in Idaho have live webcams that help you truly appreciate how beautiful our state really is.

This is not a conclusive list, but here are my 5 personal favorite Idaho cams:

This beautiful ski area about 45 minutes to the northeast of Boise looks epic all year long, but really shines once the snow falls, which won't be long from now.

Near McCall, this site has several great views from up high. My personal favorite of the Brundage cams is definitely the one near Lakeview. Two thumbs way up.

Hey, it's another mountain resort cam. No surprise, since I love mountains and normally the resorts are in the mountains. We call that a win.

Anything that gives me a constant view of the Grand Tetons is a good thing. The only thing that keeps this cam from the top spot is the frequent clouds that block the peaks, but that's not the cams fault. Extra points though for their panorama shot and being able to look back at the entire past year of webcam views.

It is rare that I view the Sun Valley Cam when I don't get a view that knocks my socks off. It is consistently one of my favorite views in all of Idaho.
