There have been some well-known movies made in the Magic Valley. Wild Wild West and Pale Rider are just a couple. But, there is one movie that was made in Southern Idaho that you probably haven't heard of and there's a good reason for that.

It allegedly involves a bunch of half-naked high school dropouts trying to complete a time transfer project before the apocalypse.

The movie is a 1973 film called "Idaho Transfer" and it just might be the worst movie ever made. According to IMDB, it was filmed at Craters of the Moon and near highway 20 around Arco. You'll also recognize some Snake River Canyon shots if you can actually sit through this 1 hour and 25 minute mess.

CAUTION: If you decide to sit through this disaster of a movie, there is some partial nudity involving lots of really ugly people.

I had to actually research what the plot was about because you can't tell by watching the movie. It allegedly involves a bunch of half-naked high school dropouts trying to complete a time transfer project before the apocalypse. They partially succeeded because I was actually ready for the end of the world by the time this thing was over.

I will cut them some slack. This was made in 1973 when bell-bottom jeans were thought to be a good idea, too. No, wait. The movie still sucks.

Idaho Transfer actually has a star in it. Keith Carradine plays "Arthur". He's most recently been on Madame Secretary and The Big Bang Theory. If you ever meet him, ask him about "Idaho Transfer" and see how fast he runs out the door.

Do I recommend you watch "Idaho Transfer"? Please don't. I have and it may take me years to fully recover. But, it was shot where we live, so there's that.
