Keeping a good marriage together is hard work. It's not something you can "set and forget," it must be maintained on a daily basis to ensure that it's healthy. It's a lot of hard work.

I can attest to this: I'm on my second marriage. I made a conscious effort not to repeat my previous mistakes, and do everything in my power to make my current marriage my forever marriage. That's a lot harder than it sounds.

Every once in a while I find something worthwhile on Facebook. Earlier today I found an article by Dan Pearce for the site Single Dad Laughing. In the article Dan talks about his two failed marriages and ways to not "blow your marriage." The tips range from obvious to sweet, but all are absolutely perfect.

Dan's tips include:

  • Don't stop holding her hand.
  • Don't stop trying to be attractive.
  • Don't stop kissing her.
  • Don't go to the bathroom with the door open (ha! I hate that!).
  • Don't skip out on things that are important to her.

See how easy those are? And those simple little things will mean the world to your significant other. Guys, this article is amazing. Read it. Learn it. Have an amazing marriage.
