This really isn't all that surprising.  According to a new survey, the average person hasn't written a letter for at least a year and a half.

If you were born somewhere around 1990 or later, there's a decent chance you've never written a letter.  And even if you're really old and born in the olden days, like 1985, it's probably been a long time since you wrote one.

14% of people say they've never written a letter.  Here's some other stuff they found.

18% of people have never written a thank-you note by hand.

20% have never created a physical photo album.

26% have never made a homemade card.

And 34% have never made someone a mix tape or CD.

I'm still capable of writing but I've noticed that my penmanship isn't what it used to be. Whether it's on a computer or a phone, everything we do that's text based is done by pecking at a keyboard of some kind.  How often do we have to actually write something other than maybe signing our names occasionally?  It's simple. We're out of practice.
