IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have identified two men killed in an eastern Idaho small plane crash. The Idaho Falls Police Department says 64-year-old Mark J. Schell of Idaho Falls and 43-year-old Brian W. Hymas of Rexburg died in the crash on Saturday.

A 13-year-old boy survived and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where police said he was in stable condition. Authorities say the twin-engine Piper Comanche took off about 1:35 p.m. from the Idaho Falls Regional Airport but crashed a few minutes later about a mile south of the airport in a vacant area.

Authorities say Schell and Hymas died at the scene. No one on the ground was injured. Authorities haven't said who was flying the plane. The crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board.
